BHM 2019: BRIAN JACKSON

What a magical night this was.

Part 1 of the Black History Month series was a success as we honored the living legend Brian Jackson, and many thanks to ArtDontSleep for putting this all together.

So many stories were shared by Brian on stage before he got into each song and it had the room feeling like we were back in the 70s during his prime run with the late Gil Scott Heron. We got through as much of their catalog as we could and then some, especially after Adrian Younge hyped the crowd up for an encore and Brian being the humble person that he is did not leave us disappointed. From Winter In America, to Pieces Of A Man, to even The Bottle, which you can see the full live performance of that song above.
